Get Involved

If you are interested in getting connected at Seekers, we’d invite you to simply show up and begin to get to know us and, as you are ready, let us know more about the real you.  Seekers is about authenticity and being real, rather than trying to appear pure or pious.

“Showing up” typically begins by attending Sunday morning services, with the gathering of the community at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday, and sticking around for coffee/tea afterwards to begin to get acquainted with other Seekers.  The gathering at 9:30 – often called Circle Time – is about learning what is going on in the community, sharing stories of our lives, and hearing about other opportunities for connection and community building.

A next step is beginning to attend classes in the School for Christian Growth on Tuesday evenings, which includes 6-week classes on a choice of topics.  After sharing a delicious vegetarian meal, classes meet to learn, share views and fellowship in small groups. More information about the School for Christian Growth and upcoming classes is available here.

You may also want to explore the breadth of information in the rest of the Seekers website, along with other writings about the focus and background of Seekers Church, as well as the Church of the Saviour of which we are a part.

You’re welcome to join the Seekers listserv, which brings a steady flow of news and opportunities to hear about and participate in various events that other Seekers think may be of interest to the community.

There are many opportunities to be more deeply connected in the life of Seekers.  Among other things, you can get involved in:

  • reading the scripture during worship
  • lighting the Peace & Justice candle with a prayer
  • collecting the offering
  • helping clean up after communion
  • providing the Children’s Word during worship
  • teaching the children
  • attending the periodic Martha’s Mob work days for building maintenance
  • even offering the sermon during worship

At Seekers, we pride ourselves on being a do-it-yourself church!

If you would like to discover more about Seekers Church and how to get involved, just ask someone – or send an email to You may also want to take a look at the Guide to Seekers Church, which explains a lot.

You are welcome at Seekers.  We hope your path will join with ours.
